First aid

מידע נוסף על First aid

First aid is the initial medical actions and treatments given to an injured or sick person in the event of an injury, illness, or head injury. The primary goal of first aid is to preserve life, prevent further injuries, and assist in a speedy recovery and return to normal activity.

First aid actions can include the following basic actions:

  1. Safety Check: Assessing the situation before approaching and understanding the risks, including those you can help with rather than those that could harm you.

  2. Call for help: Alert professional groups if you are unable to treat the injured person alone or if the situation is very serious.

  3. Removing hazards: Removing hazards around the injured person, such as fire, hazardous chemicals, or any other hazard that could cause further harm.

  4. Checking vital functions: Checking the casualty's cardiac and respiratory activity (pulse check and breathing recovery). If required, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) can be performed.

  5. Stopping bleeding: When there is bleeding, the injured person can cause damage to the organs and life if no action is taken to stop the bleeding.

  6. Fluid administration: In cases where the injured person feels hostile or has lost fluids, consider offering them fluids to drink to prevent the risk of dehydration and bleeding.

  7. Motor functions: The proper dosage for paramedical purposes can affect the functions leading to action, so in some cases a complimentary clinical dosage can be given.

  8. Maintaining warmth: Keeping the injured person warm, especially if there is a risk of shock.

First aid is a key skill in the medical and military worlds, and can be the difference between life and death in many cases. Professional training and in-depth knowledge can save lives and prevent serious injuries.
